Unfortunately we now live in an alternative universe where Trump did in fact win in spite of the suspicious release of an 11 year-old illegal recording of a private conversation in the middle of his campaign. Clinton dirty tricks team? Nothing to see here, move along…

Pussygate probably made many American males feel sorry for Donald Trump: The invasion of his privacy humiliated him in public in a way that would make us cringe, if the worst thing we ever said was recorded and played back in public. He dismissed it as “locker room talk” then moved on: that takes courage, and I think humanised him for the electorate. This was probably a Clinton Campaign error releasing what they thought would sink Trump once and for all, when it actually made him a victim of sorts.
