This piece was really all you needed to say: “I guess I don’t get it, Svetlana. I cede to your superior intellect.” Svetlana is the most empowered woman I know, because she works with the facts of the matter, not with slogans.

Political indoctrination works through replacing critical thought with prepackaged slogans encapsulating the Politically Correct “Truth” which cannot be questioned without immediate attack on the questioner. The language of the PC Brigade distorts and suffocates debate: for intance “Pro-Choice” instead of “Pro-Abortion” makes it sound like a woman’s freedom is at stake, rather than the life of her baby. “Marriage Equality” means that if you oppose same-sex marriage you are anti-equality. The “Gender Pay Gap” pre-supposes that women are descriminated against in the work force: they are not: Every. Single. Study. Proves. This. On average women are paid 20% less than men, because of career and work/life balance decisions those same women made. Decisions I admire them for, by the way.

The slogans are designed to disable opposition to various social engineering “progressive” policies, so when someone has the knowledge and wit to analyse the data and form their own contrary opinion, based on facts, not ideology, an ideologue or one of their programmed puppets does not listen to the reasoning, just labels that independent thinker as the enemy. That is a shame because Svetlana talks a lot of sense, and backs it up with verifiable facts. You could have learned something.
