The signs are there for a fatal loss of self-belief: the Bernie Sanders supporters are no longer blind to the evil of the BNC, and the rest of the party is only holding together by a process of Denial that they lost the election and by the absolute demonization of Donald Trump. One more “impossible” fact and they’ll implode: perhaps when it becomes publicly proved that it was the Democrats who colluded with the Russians to corrupt the elections? That would be hard to integrate into their narrative.

It was laughable to watch the Democrat politicians scowling in anger as Trump announced an all-time low in Black unemployment: they know that is bad for their re-election chances, but they shouldn’t have shown how angry it makes them: more jobs for Black people is supposed to be a good thing to Democrats! What it shows is that to the Democrats Black lives really don’t matter: their votes are taken for granted, as long as they are kept poor.

A Republican Administration lifting black Americans into the middle class is a disaster for the Democrats, and they know it, but were not supposed to show it. I think a lot of Black votes shifted to Trump during the #SOTU address.
