The Climate Emergency is dangerous propaganda

The idea that Climate Change is the cause of this year's record fire season in California is incorrect; it is also dangerous. What do you do if you believe that carbon emissions cause Global Warming, and that warming is the cause of this year's megafires in California? You build more ugly wind turbines all over the State and cover more land with ugly Solar Panels, which then need transmission lines to remote locations to carry this diffuse, unreliable, intermittent expensive electricity to the grid. This will achieve nothing except cause more fires and make electricity more expensive and less reliable: fortunately Climate Change is not the cause of this year’s record fire season.

It is known what causes these fires: "Wildfires in California are growing more dangerous because of the accumulation of wood fuel in forests, higher population and greater electricity transmission and distribution lines." So renewable energy sources are one direct cause of fires, transmission lines being a common cause of ignition, the others being arsonists and lightning.

The main cause is poor forest management. What do you do if you believe this is the cause? Build strategically placed firebreaks in forests and between forested areas and housing, maintain fire trails and carry out fuel reduction burns in colder months to reduce the fuel loading that makes these megafires unstoppable. It would also be a good idea to ban building Wind Turbines in forests and on remote hilltops that require transmission lines to be built through forests.

The only factual statement in your entire post was "California was meant to burn; fire is a natural part of our forests’ lifecycles." We cannot stop California burning each fire season, but we can manage how California burns, safely by good forest management, or catastrophically by poor forest management.

Once you mistakenly blame the fires on Climate Change and ignore the real, known causes, the rest of your post is nonsense, following a false postulate to its ridiculous conclusion. If you ignore known facts in favour of the unproven theory of anthropomorphic Climate Change you have abandoned logic for Politically Correct fantasy. No good can come from basing your response to the fires on a false premise.
