Thanks for the graduate class in Feminism’s Marxist roots!
“Equality for a Marxist was about outcomes, not rights. Individual rights are not important in a collective. That is why the feminists never speak about “equal rights” but instead they demand “equality.” And feminism has been busy bashing away at both the US Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for decades now.
In fact if you compare the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to feminist advocacy, you find that feminism seeks to abolish almost every one of its clauses. The rights to freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom of expression, and the right to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty before a jury of your peers; all run directly counter to feminist doctrine.”
I thought Feminism was about equal rights, so I have considered myself an original Feminist for the last 40 years. Now I’ll have to think of a word for someone who champions equal treatment of, and equal rights for women, without needing equal outcomes for everyone. “Equalitarian”, perhaps? “Gender-neutral”? Maybe “Fair” is all I need.
