Svetlana, I think you are 100% correct that “most women tend to be attracted to assertive confident men.” Given that assertive, confident men are better negotiators than shy, nervous men, they probably bet paid more too, and have higher status jobs, which also makes them more attractive to women.

I think this explains the Gender Pay Gap: Since the beginning of Time, women have been choosing to breed with assertive confident men, leading to the next generation being more assertive and confident, to the extent that these traits are genetic. So women have bred men to be more assertive and confident and to seek higher paying jobs to enhance their chances of passing on those genes: therefore women have bred the tendency towards a gender pay gap into the male of the species. So, it’s a self inflicted wound, if it is really a problem: for most women, I don’t think it is: it is exactly what they, as a group, wanted.
