Russian Propaganda must be exposed.
You defend the indefensible: Russia has no right to invade Europe, and their apologists just mouth Russian lies.
Some like you say they stand with Russia, quoting Putin's claim that "13,000 people of Donbass have been killed by the Ukrainians." The fake revolution in eastern Ukraine was encouraged by, financed, armed and manned by Russia.
A civilian passenger jet, Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, was shot down over Hrabove (a village in the Donetsk Oblask) on 17 July 2014, killing all 298 people on board. The plane was shot down by a Russian ground to air missile fired by Russian troops posing as separatist rebels. So if there have been 13,000 dead in the 8 years of Putin's attempted annexation of Eastern Ukraine, that is entirely Putin's fault: he started a civil war, so their deaths are on his head.
You seek to portay the carpet bombing of civilian targets as "the most atypical and "gentle" military engagement in the history of warfare." I fail to see how the use of bombs, shells and missiles to target Schools, Hospitals, Kindergartens and Apartment buildings can be described as anything other than brutal war crimes. The same person says the Russian Airforce proved it could be far more effective in Syria and Chechniya but neglected to mention there was no military opposition in those countries, just rebels or freedom fighters. The Ukraine military have been very effective against Russian Tanks, Helicopters and Jet Planes, so the Russian tactic is to avoid the Ukraine military and pound civilian targets from a distance. "The stand-off tactics clearly indicate the Russians are trying to preserve lives." True, but it is Russian military lives, not Ukrainian civilians.
"As I suggested, western mainstream media has beat an incessant tune in the last day about civilian casualties, Russia using cluster munitions, Russia targeting cities, Russia bombing cities, and Ukraine beating Russian forces like Rambo at every turn."
One expects Ukraine to overstate Russian casualties while Russia will understate them for the same reason, but the successes of the Ukraine military against the Russian forces are easily verified: google "burning Russian Tanks" or "Russian helicopters destroyed in Ukraine" and see for yourself.
When Putin says "What is the explanation for this contemptuous and disdainful attitude to our interests and absolutely legitimate demands?", he means why do the West object to our wanting to occupy Eastern Europe, as we did under the USSR? To this the reply should be "The occupation of Eastern Europe by the USSR does not give Russia to right to occupy those countries again: indeed the 50 years of living under Russian occupation means the people of those counties will fight like Ukrainians to avoid that fate!"
