People who think “Socialism Is The Way To Save Our World” don’t understand history: the Twentieth Century made over half the world into laboratories testing Socialism in the real World. National Socialism in Germany, Soviet Socialism in Russia and Eastern Europe, Maoist Socialism in China and Pol Pot’s Socialist Workers’ Democracy in Cambodia: None of them worked; millions died and billions suffered the crushing weight of the Marxist/Socialist Dictatorship of the Proletariat. Only an ignorant idiot would want to repeat the experiment.

“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” Winston Churchill

It is a fantasy to imagine a peaceful transition to a Socialist paradise: since Socialism depends on theft of all personal property by the State, and even the poorest people will not give up their belongings without a fight, a Socialist State must needs be established by Revolution, and that Revolution must be bloody. Again; check out the words of Karl Marx, and the evidence of the last Century of World History.

But you admire East Germany: “East Germany and the other examples of socialist economies show that profit is not essential.”

Fool: do you forget how many citizens died trying to escape from the Concentration Camp that was East Germany, and how enthusiastically the surviving citizens tore down the Berlin Wall?

Capitalism has lifted Billions out of poverty, has given us the wealth and comfort we enjoy today, unmatched by any other economic system: we have computers, smart phones, the Internet, smart Cars and solar power: do you think the suppressed slaves of the Socialist World could have matched the wealth-generating innovation of the West? The lies you tell do harm in the world: the young and ignorant Millennials believe your foolish falsehoods, because they don’t have the life experience to know better.

“If you are not a Socialist at 18 you have no heart! If you are still a Socialist at 28, you have no brain!” Winston Churchill again, and no truer words were ever spoken.
