Now you are conflating several different issues together: it is possible to doubt that burning fossil fuels is causing the current warming, because it is time for the natural cycle to end this ice age about now anyway, as it has done repeatedly in the past, while still being opposed to pollution, deforestation, over-use of chemicals in agriculture, waste and abuse of the environment. I support re-use and recycling, protection of the environment, elimination of plastics from our rivers and seas, and maintaining a sustainable biosphere to support natural habitats for native fauna.
Returning Carbon locked up in Coal back to the carbon cycle where it belongs does not contradict my conservation ethos: Carbon is good for plants, and higher CO2 levels are already reducing deserts around the planet.
