“Make America Great Again” appeals to everyone whose situation had worsened under Obama: that is most of the working class, who lost jobs, or whose income declined in real terms, or who were under-employed. The off-shoring of American Industry hurt the working and middle-class workers the most, and the Clinton/Obama Democrats did not care at all about these marginalised people. No wonder they rejected the weasel words of the Democrats who had betrayed them over and over, consigning them to minimum wage dead-end jobs or to being welfare beneficiaries. If the Democrats think that handouts to people they forced out of work will win them votes, they’ll be out of power for a generation.
