Jesus stands astride history like a colossus - all of history is BC or AD. No other religion can claim to have changed the world so much for the better, in spite of a few medieval excesses that actually contradicted His instructions on mercy and kindness. All that is good about Western Society comes from the Judeo-Christian tradition of mercy, Justice and tolerance.
