I said “the true Left and right is not a spectrum from Left Socialism to Right Fascism, it is from Left Big Government central planning to Right Freedom and the Free Market.” Apparently you agree that the most successful societies live somewhere in the middle of that spectrum, where the power of Government is limited, but supports the losers in the free market with welfare payments and free medicare, for instance. Limited socialism within a free market is the best compromise between the extremes of Free Market Capitalism vs the Centrally Planned Socialist Economy. The first works well but has casualties, whereas the latter never works. A blend of the best of both systems is the way forward for a wealthy but caring society such as ours. I speak from Australia, not the United States.

By the way there are literally thousands of quotes proving that National Socialism was indeed Socialist, just a nasty extreme of Socialism, much like Stalin’s version. Socialists should own Nazism: it is all Big Government, Central Planning and repression of individual freedom: you can’t get more Socialist than that!
