James, you are guilty of the exact failings you accuse Republican supporters of. People support Trump because the alternative on offer was so much worse: Entitled Progressive Elites enforcing their moronic politically correct opinions on the rest of us, worshipping power and Big Government. We’d had 8 years of that and watched the destruction of the American working class under a Democrat leadership that no longer cares about the “Basket of deplorables” unemployed in the Rust Belt. Hillary promised us more of the same, and told us to like it. No wonder we voted for Trump, and if the country continues to thrive under Trump, no wonder we’ll vote him back in in 2020.
