I agree with ending the war in Syria, even if it leaves brutal dictator Assad in power: regime change is a risky business in the Middle East as we found in Iraq. It is however an undeniable truth that he does use Sarin gas to kill his opponents, and the entirely legal response by Trump was appropriate. Check US Law: the President can launch an attack as Commander in Chief on his own authority: He only needs the approval by Congress for a conflict lasting more than two months.
Other that this left-wing blind spot, a conspiracy theory than only socialist nutters believe, Tulsi Gabbard seems to be an admirable woman, honest, sincere and courageous, everything that Hillary Clinton was not. Having served in the military gives her credibility for honesty, courage and the willingness to serve her country. It doesn’t hurt that she is photogenic, either. She could be our first good-looking POTUS!
I question the wisdom of her push to “legalize Marijuana, which has a plethora of medical benefits.” Anything which leads to a higher use of Marijuana will lead to a corresponding increase in psychosis, especially paranoid schizophrenia, and suicide in users. I support decriminalisation so users are fined or made to do community work rather than being jailed, but I don’t support legalising it because that amounts to endorsing the use and abuse of a dangerous drug.
So she is a better candidate than Hillary but not perfect: she still needs to lose a few stupid leftist beliefs, but her taking on the DNC means she has the capability to do so.
