Here’s the problem: we need to agree on the definition of Left Wing: For me, the extreme Left are Marxists who want to steal everyone’s property and centrally plan the economy contolling the means of production, distributionand exchange. I guess that is what you would call “authoritarian socialists”: to me that is just Socialists, and is as Left Wing as you can get. To me the extreme Right Wing are not Fascists (they are effectively the same as Socialists), they are Libertarians, which is where the term “Libertarian Leftist” strikes me as an Oxymoron. Left is Big Government, no individual freedoms, while Right is Individual freedom to the point of Anarchy with zero government. You can’t simultaneously be at both ends of the spectrum, but you can stand anywhere along that spectrum. Where I stand is for the middle way, where Government is just big enough to impose ethical behaviours on Corporates like Wal-Mart and Amazon, and not big enough to interfere unduly with the free market, or to restrict individual freedoms.
