The US Supreme Court, in a landmark decision last week finally outlawed race-based affirmative action programs at US universities, and said “Distinctions between citizens solely because of their ancestry are by their very nature odious to a free people whose institutions are founded upon the doctrine of equality”.

So the "Land of the Free" is free again. It is funny that you call people racist for opposing a racist practice, but that is how Orwellian the political debate has become in America. You have to be able to believe in two mutually exclusive beliefs at the same time to belong to the Progressive wing of teh Democrat Party. The Right wing of the Republican party isn't much better.

We should all celebrate this long overdue decision: what race-based affirmative action has done to American universities is ensure that racial tensions have grown and resentment flourished for decades. Good riddance to this racist rubbish!
