GW Bush has two degrees, one from Stanford, one from Harvard, and qualified as a Jet Fighter pilot. He was always smarter than the Leftist media portrayed him. I was appalled that during his campaign for a second term, Seattle newspapers printed front page stories saying he was the Anti-Christ. That was when Fake News started, and it is only now that President Trump has called it out that is becomes obvious: our media are almost all Left-wing propagandists for the Democrat Party. They no longer just report news, they make news, and if they can’t make news, they make it up.

George W Bush did not deserve the treatment he got from the American press — a decent man was painted as a Fascist and a Fool by a partisan Media. Now he is no longer in Power, and can say “I consider the media to be indispensable to democracy” in spite of how that media mistreated him, you finally see his decency. But you only see it because he chose to criticise President Trump, which suddenly meant he was on your side. It would have been better is you had been able to see the honest, hard-working decency of the man while he was still President.

You might want to also consider whether you are now repeating the mistake by crying Fascist Wolf about Trump as well. Perhaps there is a New York businessman, trying in his brash way to honour his election promises, keep America safe, and restart the American economy. For the record, Trumps speech was 75% written by Trump himself, and the Navy Seal tribute was his idea, in his words. Think about it: your partisan bias might be painting Trump as a racist would-be dictator in every situation you see him in, but that might be your bias, not the real Donald Trump.

Some people say his address to Congress was hailed as a success just because he managed to get through it without insulting anyone, but that disparaging view doesn’t do justice to his speech. Van Jones, a black American with extreme left wing views still managed to acknowledge that the “Trump Navy Seal Tribute was ‘One Of The Most Extraordinary Moments’ In American Politics Ever.”

To quote him in full: “He became President of the United States in that moment, period,” Jones said. “There are a lot of people who have a lot of reasons to be frustrated with him, to be fearful of him, to be mad at him. But that was one of the most extraordinary moments you have ever seen in American politics, period.
“And for people who have been hoping that he would become unifying, hoping that he might find some way to become presidential, they should be happy with that moment. For people who have been hoping that he would remain a divisive cartoon, which he often finds a way to do, they should begin to become a little bit worried tonight,” Jones added. “Because that thing you just saw him do–if he can find a way to do that over and over again, he’s going to be there for eight years.”

He’s going to be there for eight years”: that’s what you don’t like about his speech.
