Europe and the Middle East have not been told the blunt facts for decades, so they offend easily: it is the corrosive effect of political correctness. When Trump clearly stated the obvious fact that Jerusalem is the Capital of Israel, people were stunned: “He can’t say that! It’s the truth, but it’s a truth we have carefully avoided mentioning for decades, in case it might offend someone.”

Someone needed to show leadership by telling the rest of the World things they need to hear, but don’t want to hear.

On Jerusalem, the Paris Accord, NATO funding, NAFTA and the Trans-Pacific Partnership; he has told people the truth, and acted in America’s best interests, regardless of who says they are offended.

Hillary Clinton campaigned on a No Fly zone in Syria which would have led to war with Russia: that is certainly how Russia viewed it:

I find a politician speaking his mind, and telling us exactly what he thinks to be somewhat refreshing after 30 years of diplomatic, politically correct weasel words that say nothing, but score well in focus groups.
