Russia has no right to invade Ukraine; Putin’s justifications are lies.
Eastern Europe remembers the Russian occupation under the USSR from 1945 until 1991 with horror: that is why they choose to join NATO for mutual protection against the common enemy. They will all fight like Ukrainians rather than live under Russian occupation again.
NATO was never a threat to Russia, it was always a defensive coalition against invasion from Russia.
Putin would have you believe Ukraine is run by Nazis when their President is Jewish: could any assertion be more ridiculous?
Russia's paranoia sees enemies everywhere, so the mad dog will bite believing he is cornered even when he is not. That is why your opinion is unpopular, and why Russia is unpopular: Putin's Russia is the mad dog of international politics: it attacks innocent neighbours who present no threat to Russia itself, only seeking to repel them from the parts of Ukraine they have occupied.
Like a mad dog, Putin doesn’t count the cost, and the butcher's bill for this invasion will be much higher than Russia expected:
NATO estimates Russian casualties as 15,000 dead, and 25,000 wounded, so far (25/03/2022). The dead include 5 Major Generals of the Russian Army. The Ukrainians believe they can win, because they are defending their homeland against invaders, while the Russian soldiers don’t know why they are there. They were told they would be welcomed as liberators, but instead they are being fought, and killed, as invaders and occupiers.
