200 million years ago CO2 was at 4000ppm, 10 times what it is today, and plants thrived in that concentration: the Earth's surface was covered by Jungles. For the last few million years the Carbon Cycle has been starved of Carbon to feed plants, as it has been progressively locked up in Coal, oil and gas reserves where plants cannot access it. The industrial revolution started to restore balance to the ecosystem, initially by burning Coal, then Oil, then Gas. Coal saved the forests of Europe from being consumed for Charcoal to make steel. Petroleum saved the Whales by replacing Whale oil with kerosene to light our lamps. Carbon emissions are good for the environment: everything you believe about Global Warming is a Lie.
